Setup is fast and easy:

  • Carry the box with a friend or family member to your bedroom.
  • Carefully cut open the cardboard box, lay it sideways, and slide out the vacuum-packed bag.
  • Place the bag on an approved base and cut away the outer plastic wrap.
  • Unroll the flattened mattress to its resting position (you may need to flip the mattress).
  • Cut away the inner plastic wrap and slide it off. The mattress will begin to decompress.

Leave at least 30 minutes for the mattress to decompress before sleeping on it for the first night; its full, intended comfort will be reached after 24 hours.

Keep the plastic bag until your 120-night sleep trial is complete. If you decide to return the mattress, it will need to be placed back in the bag for return pickup.

The cardboard box can be recycled immediately.

Compatible bases

  • Platform: solid, flat, and untreated wood platform beds.
  • Box foundation: boxed foundations with a solid, non-flexing construction. Coiled or wire grid boxsprings are NOT compatible.
  • Slatted base: horizontal slats with gaps no more than 3″ apart and slats no less than 2″ wide.
  • Adjustable bed: non-medical adjustable bed frames, either motorized or manually adjustable. Shop Adjustable Beds.

Things to keep in mind:

  • For queen, king, and California king mattresses: Platform beds and slat systems need at least one centre support beam.
  • Though not ideal, you can place your mattress directly on the floor if there is no risk of moisture buildup. Do not place your mattress directly on a concrete floor.
  • A base with curved slats might make your mattress feel softer than intended. If that’s the case, place a plywood sheet on top of the slats. This can help distribute the weight across the whole base, increasing firmness.

Incompatible bases

  • Metal bed: foundations made with a wire grid or thin metal beams.
  • Hospital bed: medically provided, adjustable bases.

If your current base doesn’t have enough support:

Place a sheet of untreated pegboard or plywood between the mattress and base to increase the surface area of the base.

The 120-night home sleep trial is your satisfaction guarantee that comes with the purchase of your Juno mattress or select sleep accessory. Starting the day your new product arrives, you’ll have 120 nights to sleep on it and get to know it.

It does take time to get used to a new sleep surface, and we want to make sure you fully experience your product before making a final decision. We ask that customers sleep on their Juno for a minimum of 21 nights before initiating a return.

If you choose to return your product, log in to My Order or contact customer care to initiate the return. We’ll need a few images of the product to confirm its condition for our charity partners, and then we’ll schedule pickup based on your availability. Once the pickup is confirmed, your refund will be issued.

Our mattresses should be rotated every 4–6 months, especially if there is a significant weight difference between the people who use the bed.

To rotate a mattress, turn the mattress 180 degrees (making the head of the bed the foot of the bed). Rotating a mattress allows the surface to recover from prolonged body indentations. This will help the longevity of the mattress.

NOTE: Due to the ordering of the layers of our mattresses, they should ONLY be rotated and never flipped.

You can reuse your existing base as long as it’s sturdy, supportive, and allows airflow.

Sturdy
Memory foam mattresses are heavier than regular coil mattresses. If the base is older or not sturdy, consider installing more support (e.g. a beam along the middle of the bed frame).

If you experienced sagging in your last mattress, your support system might be worn out. Inspect your base to see if there are any weak points or indentations that could transfer through to your new mattress.

Supportive
Wire grid or coiled boxsprings don’t provide enough surface area to properly support our mattresses. Bowing, flexing, or indentations in the base can also transfer through memory foam mattresses. This can make your mattress feel like it is sagging or softer than it should be.

If your existing base doesn’t have enough support or surface area, many of our customers put a sheet of untreated pegboard or plywood between the mattress and base to improve the support and feel of their mattress.

NOTE: wire grids can cut into the foam and damage it. Using a wire grid support system without additional modifications to spread pressure more evenly across the surface area will void your warranty.

Allows airflow
The base must allow for some airflow to the mattress. Laminated, varnished, or otherwise treated surfaces do not allow for this airflow. A base with poor airflow can cause mold and mildew growth.

If you’re not sure your current foundation is suitable to use with your new mattress, contact our customer care team.

The Mattress

No. Instead, we’ve focused on making our mattresses better from the start and included a longer sleep trial. We also don’t recommend ever using a cheap topper, which may cancel out all of your mattress’ cooling and comfort benefits.

If your mattress isn’t right for you, you can return it during your 120-night sleep trial.

Most customers experience no off-gassing — the faint odour that can occur following the unboxing of a new mattress or pillow. However, a small percentage of customers may notice a slight scent that will usually dissipate within 24 hours.

All of our mattresses meet the guidelines outlined by the CertiPUR-US® program. They contain no harmful chemicals or heavy metals, nor do they negatively affect air quality.

How to help remove the odour

Mattresses:

  • Increase ventilation to diffuse the odour:
    • Store the mattress in a larger open space
    • Leave the bedroom door open
    • Open the windows in your bedroom (if it’s not too cold outside)
  • Tip the mattress up onto its side to let both the top and bottom of the mattress air out.
  • Place 2–3 cups of white vinegar close to the mattress to neutralize the smell.
  • Unzip and remove the top section of the mattress cover and wash it. (The bottom section is not meant to be laundered.)

Pillows:

  • Remove and wash the pillow cover.
  • Open the windows in your bedroom to increase ventilation (if it’s not too cold outside).
  • Remove the foam from the pillow and place it on a surface to air out.
  • Place a cup of white vinegar close to the pillow to neutralize the smell.
  • “Fluff” the pillow. This pushes stale air out of the foam cells, where it can dissipate more easily.

The best place to try your mattress is in the comfort of your bedroom. With our 120-night in-home trial, you’ll experience the full effect of your Juno mattress peacefully, without any of the disturbances or sales pressure you’d find in a retail store.

As an online-only retailer, we can keep our prices lower than our Canadian competitors because we don’t have to pay for stores and showrooms. Our 120-night sleep trial is how we guarantee customer satisfaction.

Ever‑Rest Bedding mattresses are manufactured with Canadian‑made foams and fabrics:

  • The 2” comfort layer is made of cooling, gel‑infused foam.

  • The 6” bottom layer is made of durable support foam.

  • The foam in Ever‑Rest Bedding mattresses is CertiPUR‑US® certified.

Yes, this is common to all compressed mattresses. The foam layers need about 24–48 hours to fully expand and settle, during which the mattress will gradually become firmer.

The weight limit of the Juno mattress is 250 lb per person, 500 lb total.

Ever-Rest Bedding is a medium-firm mattress. The two layers of foam give a balanced mix of cushioning and support at a value price.

A split king is two twin XL mattresses pushed together to form a king-size bed.

Couples might prefer a split-king setup if they:

  • Have different mattress firmness preferences for their side of the bed, but still want to sleep in the same bed.
  • Want zero motion transfer between the two sides of the bed.
  • Want an adjustable base that can raise and lower each side of the bed independently, like the Adjustable Bed.
  • Want to be able to combine or separate two sides of a bed, like in a guest room.

When it comes to bedding, a split-king setup will need two sets of twin XL fitted sheets, one king cover sheet, and one king blanket or duvet.

The Ever-Rest Bedding mattress is available in split king. The following accessories are available in split king:

  • Adjustable Bed
  • Mattress Protector
  • Sateen Cotton Sheets

While some new mattress owners may not experience a noticeable break-in period, it’s common for others to take over a month before feeling fully comfortable on their new bed.

The comfort and quality of your rest can affect your day-to-day life, so it’s not only important to make sure that you have found the right mattress, but that you’ve given it enough time to be properly broken in. That’s why we recommend you sleep on your mattress for at least 21 nights before considering a return.

A brand new mattress needs a break-in period because the materials have not had time to soften and conform to your body.

The old mattress you’ve been sleeping on for years has adjusted to your body size, shape, and sleeping positions. After years of repeated use, “breaking in” turns into “breaking down” as your mattress materials compress or degrade and no longer support your weight properly. The indentation left by your body may actually create sagging and permanent indentations near the end of the mattress’ life.

Be patient
The materials in a new mattress are flexible, but strong and rigid. Like buying a new pair of shoes, they might feel uncomfortable at first because the materials have not become flexible and moldable with repeated use. The same thing applies to a bed; it may not feel completely comfortable until the materials have stretched and softened.

Let it adjust to you (and you to it)
If your old sleeping surface was beginning to break down, your body may have overcompensated to make you feel comfortable. A new sleeping surface means your body may have to readjust to the support of your new mattress.

If your new mattress is made with different materials than your old one, certain sensations with these materials may feel strange at first. For example, the switch from memory foam to an innerspring mattress might increase the transfer of your sleeping partner’s movements; whereas the switch from innerspring to memory foam can initially make you feel warmer than you’re used to while you sleep.

It’s essential for long-term enjoyment
Initial discomfort is not unusual. But after the break-in process, you will feel different about your new mattress. This adjustment period may be inconvenient when you want to enjoy sleeping on a new mattress right away, but it is also necessary to make sure you don’t judge a mattress by a few nights’ sleep, as the feel can improve significantly during the break-in period.

Ever‑Rest Bedding’s knit cover can be spot‑cleaned whenever needed. We recommend using a very mild fabric cleaner or baking soda.

To protect your mattress from spills, stains, and everyday wear, we suggest investing in a high‑quality mattress protector for lasting freshness and durability.

Returns

Yes, returns are FREE for all Ever‑Rest Bedding mattresses and sleep products covered by our Sleep Trial. There are no restocking fees.

Some products may be returned free of charge within 14 days of delivery, provided they remain in their original, unopened packaging.

Please note that certain items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. For complete details, please refer to our Return Policy.

If your mattress isn’t right for you, you can return it during your 120-night sleep trial.

You can return your mattress anytime between nights 21 and 120 of your sleep trial.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Inspect the mattress for burns, cuts, tears, spots, or stains. Please launder or spot clean the cover if necessary (refer to cleaning instructions on the manufacturing tag) to ensure the mattress is in donatable condition to our local charity partners.
  2. Start the return process using one of these options:
    1. Login to My Order to upload your photos and reason for return.
    2. Email us your return request (with your order number in the subject line), and we will reply with instructions.
    3. Call or chat with our customer care team, and we will email you instructions.
  3. We will schedule the mattress pickup after your photos have been received and approved and we’ve confirmed your address and availability.
  4. Wrap your mattress in plastic for pickup day. You can reuse the plastic it arrived in, or purchase an inexpensive plastic mattress bag from a hardware store or rental van company. Plastic sheeting for painting also works well. Our pickup partner will require the mattress to be on the ground level, either inside by the door or on your front step on the day of pickup. If you live in an apartment with an elevator, please book the service elevator if required by your building.
  5. We will give you a full refund on the mattress once picked up and removed from your home. If you are also returning a foundation, any applicable return fees will be removed from the refund.

The return timeline can vary depending on your location and what local services are available. We have an excellent network of charity partners and services, and most return timelines are only limited by how quickly we hear from you.

We never restock or resell returned mattresses.

Instead, we pay it forward to your community by donating returned mattresses to a local charitable organization whenever possible. If your municipal or provincial regulations prevent us from doing so, we will have a trusted recycling partner come and pick up the returned mattress. (Yes, our mattresses are fully recyclable.)

We will arrange for someone within our network of local movers, charities, and community organizations across Canada to pick up and remove your mattress.

You’ll need to wrap your mattress in plastic at the time of pickup for health and safety reasons and to ensure that it’s not damaged in transport. Usually our pickup partner will require the mattress to be on the ground level, either inside by the door or on your front step on the day of pickup. If you live in an apartment with an elevator, please book the service elevator (if required by your building).

If you need help moving your mattress, we’ll do our best to accommodate your request, but we can’t guarantee that service will be available.

After the mattress has been removed from your home, we’ll process your refund within 2 business days. Once processed, it can take an additional 2–5 business days for the refund to appear on your banking records (depending on your financial institution).

We can only issue your refund to the original payment method.

Yes. After you carefully cut open the packaging, save the plastic in a safe place until you know that the mattress is the right one for you.

If you need to return the mattress, slide it into the plastic packaging it arrived in. The mattress will fit inside even once it has expanded. All of our mattress returns must be wrapped in plastic on the day of return pickup.

Already threw away the plastic? You can buy an inexpensive plastic mattress bag online or from a hardware store or moving van rental agency. Plastic sheeting for painting also works well.

There is no need to keep the cardboard box beyond the delivery date. It can be recycled or repurposed.

Warranty

If you discover that your new mattress has arrived damaged, contact our customer care team immediately.

NOTE: It’s normal for the mattress box to arrive with signs of wear and tear. Even small punctures to the cardboard are normal. This typically does not affect the mattress, which is protected inside the box with additional heavy-duty packaging, and should be in excellent condition inside the plastic.
